Ravindra Jadeja: 'I will give my best till my last breath'
NEW DELHI: Ravindra Jadeja's all-round brilliance against New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2019 semi-final at the jam-packed Old Trafford ground in Manchester was not enough to take India through to Sunday's final at Lord's.

Virat Kohli’s men suffered a 18-run defeat in the thrilling clash. But Jadeja, who was playing his second match of the tournament, was praised by one and all for his sheer brilliance while fielding and while batting under tremendous pressure.

After India’s World Cup exit, Jadeja took to Twitter and posted an emotional message and also thanked his fans.

"Sports has taught me to keep on rising after every fall & never to give up. Can’t thank enough each & every fan who has been my source of inspiration. Thank you for all your support. Keep inspiring & I will give my best till my last breath. Love you all," Jadeja wrote.

Jadeja came to the crease when India were reeling at 92 for 6 and he played a fine counter-attacking knock of 77 off 59 balls to raise hopes of an improbable India win.

The left-hander was finally dismissed by Trent Boult in the 48th over and was applauded by the Old Trafford crowd for his spectacular show. Jadeja hit four fours and four sixes in his knock.
